About this rubric maker
A small, free tool for building grading rubrics, made by one independent developer.
Why it exists
Most rubric tools want you to log in, sit through an AI generation, or upload your assignment before they show you anything. This one just gives you a ready, human-written rubric you can edit and print in a minute. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
How the templates are written
Every template here is written by hand to a simple standard: descriptors describe what a grader can actually observe, adjacent levels differ in substance and not just adjective, and the wording avoids circular phrases like "excellent organization." They are starting points, meant to be edited for your own assignment, grade level, and standards.
What it is not
This is a classroom helper, not an official or clinical scoring instrument, and not a substitute for your school's or district's required grading guidelines. You stay in charge of how you grade.
